Alpha

Back to All

Exploring faith? Try Alpha.

Alpha is a judgment-free gathering of people from all walks of life who share a meal together and explore the big issues of life and meaning and consider the basics of Christian faith.

We just wrapped our latest Alpha on March 30! Our next series will start on Sep 7, 2025.

Each week at Alpha, we gather in the main building at JPC to enjoy dinner around a table with a few people, watch a short video, and then have free discussion. People are welcome to share their own thoughts and questions, or not share anything at all. Attendance varies, but we typically have around 4-6 round tables each week. Alpha isn't a 'pressure cooker,' it is designed to be a stress-free, friendly environment with no follow up, no catches, and no cost. One of Jesus' disciples once told his friend, just "come and see!" That's the culture of Alpha: just come and see.

WHO Alpha is open to everyone
WHEN Sunday nights, Sep 7 - Nov 16, 2025
TIME 5pm - 6:45pm
HOW MUCH No cost
WHAT'S THE CATCH? None. The whole point is to make exploring faith honest and stress-free
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS? Our kids program (for ages 0-5th grade) and our Middle School youth group meet at the same time as Alpha over in the red Barn, so you don't have to worry about childcare. Plus, everybody gets dinner at no cost. All kids and youth ministry programs follow the 'two-adults-at-all-times' safety protocol.
DO I HAVE A REGISTER? Nope. Registration just helps us to know how many people to expect. Registration for the fall Alpha will open as we get close to the date. We promise not to pester you with annoying emails :)‍

Jesus answered, “Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice." Pilate said to him, "What is truth?"
